Every once in a while there is an apartment which is so nice, so well thought out, so comfortable, that one can’t help but want to stay. Apartments in Prague has found just such an accommodating apartment in an area of Prague which we don’t normally look for apartments, but is so nice we had to strike a deal with the owner in order to offer it to our clients! Zborovska is a ten minute walk to the National Theater. Smichov is one of the up and coming districts of Prague with plenty of convenient public transport just up the street near the Andel Mall.

The owner imagined living here and subsequently furnished the apartment to suit his taste. There are hard wood floors, lovely modern furniture, three toilets, two bedrooms, a modern kitchen, an entertainment center and all the amenities to make your stay incredibly comfortable. And to top it all off, there is both European and American power in the apartment so you don’t have to worry about blowing up your hair dryer!

Entrance to the apartment is through a modern security door, disguised to look like a door from the 19th century. Down the corridor past the first “powder room,” a toilet with a sink, you pass the entrance to the bedroom suites. Continue along the hall and you come into the big kitchen/living room.

The kitchen has granite counters and is outfitted with the most modern of appliances; a dishwasher, big refrigerator, gas hob, sink and of course all the dishes, silverware, cooking implements and pots and pans you would ever need to whip up something to eat. The downdraft ventilation system replaces traditional cooker hoods and is hidden in the granite counter top and pops up at the touch of a button to clear the air. Cooking eggs for breakfast or pasta for dinner will be a delight.

The lounge has a low table and a lovely couch, which can be made into a double bed. There’s also a full entertainment system so you can kick back, open a bottle of wine and listen to your favorite tunes. And to top it off, a gas fireplace is waiting to make the living room just as cozy as can be.

There are two full bedroom suites, each with bath or shower. The master bedroom has a huge double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers andshelves for your things. The back bedroom also has a double bed, in a loft area. Below is a bathroom, sofa, and desk and chair for reading. This room is ideal for an office for long term guests. And both bathrooms feature heated floors so your feet won´t get cold in after a warm morning shower.

A modern apartment wouldn’t be complete though, without a washing machine and dryer, so there is one in the utility closet and you can do all of your laundry if you’ve been on the road for a while.
