We are just finishing our 6 day stay at Zborovska apartment and want to give you our feedback. Our stay has taken place in late October/early November of 2009.
First a word about the service, website (apartments-in-prague.org), and driver/greeter -- all great, at least in spirit. With some notable exceptions as described below, the basic commitment to clarity, service and honesty was laudable. It is always a bit of a gamble to go to new place and deal with locals at a distance and you all certainly passed that test. Senat, our driver/greeter, was particularly valuable to us - friendly, warm, knowledgeable, helpful and ready to try and solve problems. A great "front door" to your business.
I don't want to minimize the importance of some of the ways we were disappointed but our overall feeling was of gratitude at having a nice place to stay in a beautiful city far away from home.
Pluses
-The apt. space is quite nice overall, well appointed with a comfortable sofa and large chair in the dining/living room. The building is old (good) but the apt seems new (also good). The street noise was never a bother.
-The location of the apartment is excellent, in a quiet area, only a couple of short blocks from the river. Prague Castle is a 30 minute walk one direction and Vysehrad 20 minutes across the river in the other. All the other primary important tourist sites are walkable in this or a shorter time period, and the area is also well served by trams.
-The kitchen facilities are quite nice, new, and functional. We cooked dinner in the apartment three nights.
-The master bedroom is very nice - functional and pleasant, with a comfortable queen bed and a massive flat screen TV.
-The uncurtained shower/bath is a little messy but everything in BR was comfortable and functional.
Minuses
The website advertised two bedrooms and two baths. Neither is quite true.
-The second bedroom is really a useless sitting room connected to an uncomfortable loft with only about 4 feet of headroom, served by steep, slippery stairs that create a middle-of-the-night safety hazard. At the end of the day one couple took the master bedroom and one member of the second couple slept in the loft and the fourth person slept on the dining room sofa. This was not acceptable. The room could have been made a bedroom/sitting room with a little effort, and even offered space, say, for foldaway dining chairs (see below). Short of making a real sleeping area, calling this apt a 2 bedroom was a bit disingenuous.
-The second bathroom was only useable as a half-bath. We were made to promise not use the shower before our greeter would even unlock the door. You simply cannot advertise two full bathrooms and not let your renters know one shower is off limits until they arrive! This is the kind of omission that can damage your reputation long term.
-There no place to eat. The only table in the living room is a coffee table with very little room for our legs. It is quite uncomfortable. It would be very easy to set up a nice collapsible table and some chairs to use. It takes away from the comfort of having a place to eat in.
-There is no coffee maker. Nothing, nada. Hard to believe. We ended up buying a makeshift plastic filter in order to have morning coffee. A small but important detail.
With the cautions as noted above, which we believe could be corrected by better communication, we were very pleased with our choice of booking our stay though apartments-in-prague.org.

The Zborovska Apartment made our three months in Prague seem like a Fairy Tale
We just wanted to say Thank You for all that you had done for Marek and I. Being able to stay in your flat on Zborovska was just a dream come true for the two of us. It was very comfortable ~ quite cozy and homey for the three months that we stayed there this year.
It was perfectly located within walking distance to everything that was important to us and to all the major sites and downtown shopping areas. It was a very romantic vacation and your apartment really added to many wonderful memories that we always treasure.
We will be sure to return to Prague again in the following year and we have our hopes set on being able to stay there in your flat when we return.
Thank You again so very much for everything and for helping make our vacation to Prague
'A Dream Come True'.
Kindest Regards,
Andryh
We just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your flat - it was beautiful and so comfortable - we walked all over Prague from there, bought food at the little stores. I had left a note that we were not able to turn on the towel warmer in the bathroom with the tub and were not able to turn off the warmer in the bathroom with the shower - that wasn't important to us, but we thought you should know.
The Kasangs
** Note from Apartments in Prage ** We know about those heaters, they are both broken and we have to rip up the floors to fix 'em so we are waiting until winter unfortunately.
We (two couples) stayed in Zborovska apartment in December 2007 for 8 nights. We were just 2nd guests in this new apartment and we did not have a single regret of choosing it. The apartment is spotless and everything is very new and good functioning. It is equipped with everything needed and has such lovely luxury items as fire-place with remote control and I-Pod stand (so that you can just bring your own music collection on own I-Pod) - both were used by us every evening :-) The overall design of the place got our sincere complements: modern furniture, clean lines, good-combined colors and everything is just so... homey! :-)
Location from our point of view could not be better: one street away from the river, good safe and very quiet neighborhood, easy 10 min walk to the Charles Bridge from the side of the city normal tourists I think do not
really often go to. This made a very quiet peaceful start to our every morning. The views we got on the way to the center were just lovely; panorama of several bridges, old center, hill with the castle.
Extra plus was that at the time of booking we got a paper from the agency with cafe+restaurant recommendation list (some 10-12 places) in the part of the city where apartment is situated. The first on the list was cafe Savoy
(4-5 min slow walk from the apartment) with the comment 'to be careful because it can become just your favorite place' for a cup of coffee - it became it! :-) Honestly - excellent coffees, breakfasts and overall interiors and atmosphere. At least half of the breakfasts in 8 days trip we spent there and at least two dinners as well. Crème-Brule to kill for :-)
The personnel of the agency stayed professional at all times: online booking, transfers, any possible help was on the very high professional level. We as two couples of friends were arriving from two different countries and second-to-arrive couple missed the connecting flight, so first we went to the airport for nothing to meet them (agency transfer), then they arrived next day and other transfer was needed - all was arranged very fast
and efficiently. More than that, our driver Johanna was checking their new flight for us online and told us about 1 hour flight delay - without this we would have wasted another hour in the airport... things like that... Then
(good lord ... all at once!) their luggage was lost and the agency made sure we got it later... All in all they have taken such care of us that commercial companies normally do not do.
We stayed more than 1 week, so 1 apartment cleaning + bedding change was included as well.
We would definitely stay with "Apartments In Prague" in future and recommend it to our friends.

I was lucky enough to spend two and half months in Prague and during this time stayed in the Zbrovoska apartment. I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying for a few days or for someone who has the luxury to stay longer. In fact, I would recommend the apartment experience over the hotel experience any day. It's extremely comfortable, you feel right at home, and you don't waste a lot of money eating unhealthily at restaurants all the time.
I liked the location. For one thing, it was away from the throngs of people that mill about in the Old Town. Yet Prague is a small enough city that everything is accessible by tram or, if you are so inclined, by walking. The National Theater was only a five-minute or three-stop tram ride away, and trams run quite frequently. Plus, there was no loss of convenience with three supermarkets nearby, including a huge, slightly overwhelming Tesco in the Andel mall. Lots of restaurants line the tram street, there are two gyms nearby, and the area has a nice neighborly feel to it.
I spent most of the fall going to shows all over town, but my favorite venue by far was the National Theater. Tickets were surprisingly the most affordable, but I got to see some amazing performances, like a modern dance by the Nederlands Dans Theater, a modernized Romeo and Juliet by the Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, and a Bellini opera, Norma.
The apartment itself is lovely. In the living room there is a comfy, suede couch to sink into, a gas fireplace, huge flatscreen TV with a DVD player and a Bose sound system that I could use to play my i-pod. I liked the kitchen because it had a state-of-the-art gas stove, ample counter space, an oven and a dishwasher--completely tempting for anyone who wants to cook. And I was impressed by the owner's attention to detail, from cabinets that light up, to the soothing, Zen-like stone bathroom with heated floors, and the pretty tiling in the powder room.
Prague is a fairy-tale charming city, and it's hard not to fall a little bit in love with it. Whenever I walked around town and saw all the pretty buildings or stumbled down a particularly pretty side street, I felt a little giddy like I wanted to pinch myself. I couldn't believe I got to live there for a few months. I'm still marvelling that I got to live there for an extended period of time. It's definitely a beautiful city with a distinctly romantic and historical feel to it.
best regards,
Nancy
