Konviktska is Apartment in Prague’s first apartment accommodation in the oldest section of Prague’s Stare Mesto. This Prague apartment is located in a 19th century building on the second floor. Huge windows in this Prague apartment accommodation let in tons of light and provide a fascinating look onto the building facades opposite. The neighborhood is also fantastic, located just one block from the Vltavska River and less than one block from the famous Betlemske Namesti Cathedral. At night the neighborhood seems almost magical, especially when the gas lamps are lit.

Conveniently, this Prague Accommodation is only a five-minute stroll to to Prague’s Charles Bridge and then into the heart of Mala Strana. It’s also less than five minutes to Old Town Square, the heart of Stare Mesto. The embankment offers one of the most amazing views in the world, especially at night, so if you fancy a romantic walk before bed, it’s a quick stroll up to the river to enjoy the view. Should you choose to stay in this Prague apartment, you won’t be disappointed with either the apartment or its location.

This Prague apartment is located on the second floor, so after you enter the building you must be prepared to walk up a couple of flights to get into the apartment. However, the hallway is quite lovely complete with sanded glass windows.

Upon entering this Prague accommodation you will find a place to hang your coat and then you can cut directly to either the living room or the kitchen. If you choose the living room route, you won’t be disappointed. A couch and chairs await and a huge window lights up the room and the entrance hall. The couch also pulls out to form an extra bed if a fifth person needs to stay.

Immediately off to the left is the master bedroom. This apartment has been done up in a functionalist style. It’s somewhat austere, but we chose to not lay down a lot of carpets so you could appreciate the hardwood floors. The master bed is low but big. There are two night tables, a closet to hang your clothes and a red locker to add a splash of color to the room.

Off to the right of the living room is the other bedroom. It also has a double bed, a closet, two night tables and lights so you can read the night away. Of course you can choose to close all the doors between the rooms, but if you are staying in the apartment alone, then perhaps you want to keep all the doors open to add a real feeling of depth to the space!

The kitchen if fully equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There’s even a dishwasher although you’ll probably have to buy your own dishwasher tabs to get it going. There’s a gas cooker and hob, plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, a microwave, toaster and even an espresso maker, if you’re so inclined. However, we put in a French Press coffee maker as well if you’re not sure how to use the machine!

The bathroom features a tub with a short, French-style shower. Additionally there is a washing machine in the bathroom so if you’ve been on vacation for some time you can stop for a minute and take some time to wash your clothes.

As in all of our apartments, linens, towels, heating and electricity are included in your rental payment.

The neighborhood around the apartment is great, one of the nicest in Prague. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars and more are being added all the time. It’s simple to get out and grab a really good bite to eat and enjoy some of Prague’s excellent concerts and nightlife.
