Here are some restaurants and bars in the immediate neighborhood. If you need to get something quickly, head to one of these spots. Make sure to call though, to see if they have space for you.

Modra Reka, Manesova 13, tel. 222 251 601, 2 minutes walk- right out the door, right on Manesova (that’s the first right), up the street a block and a half, on the left hand side. A very good Serbian restaurant.

U Sadlu II, Balbinova 22, tel 222 252 411, 2 minutes walk - A branch of the first U Sadlu, this place specializes in heaping portions of Czech cuisine. Very tasty, very good, very close. Out the door, left down to Vinohradska, left up Vinohradska for one block, left onto Balbinova, on the right hand side of the street.

Rossini Ristorantate Caffee, Chopinova 26, 130 00 Praha 3, tel: 222 729 041 is our new favorite restaurant in Prague. Owned by Mario, who hails from Rome and roots for Roma football team, this very small, very good restaurant is at its best on Saturdays when Mario is cooking. Don´t order off the menu, ask for Mario to come out and give you his recommendations. And don´t worry about the wine list either, the house wine is tasty and cheap. We ate an entirely fresh seafood dinner, complete with eight different types of seafood anti-pasta followed by a tagliatelle vongole. Wow! It´s affordable, it´s more than tasty and it´s a place you have to try while visiting Prague.

Aromi, Manesova 78, Prague 2, tel: 222 713 222, 15 minutes walk – one of the nicest restaurants in Prague serving excellent italian food. From the apartment, turn right out the door, turn right again onto Manesova and walk on the right hand side of the street about 10 blocks. You won’t be disappointed with anything you get here.

Pasticka, Manesova 35, tel 222 253 466 5 minutes walk – Another very good Czech pub with an outstanding garden in the back for those warm summer months. A good variety of Czech Cuisine for dinner. They also have a very good luncheon menu for under 100 CZK. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk four blocks uphill.

Amigos, Anny Letenske 16, tel. 222 250 594 3 minutes walk – they like to call it Tex-Mex, we like to call it Czech-Mex, you can decide. The menu is bigger than a phone book. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk three blocks uphill, on the corner of Manesova and Anny Letenske.

Louis Armstrong, Italska 30, tel. 222 253 670 - A “cool” place to have dinner, the lights are low and the food is acceptable. The music is great if you like Jazz. And the waiters are super friendly. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk two blocks uphill, on the corner of Italska.

Any place on Wenceslas Square is close, out the door, to the left, right on Vinohradska, cross under the highway behind the museum and then you are standing on Wenceslas Square, heart of Prague. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants on this boulevard.
